LONDON WEDDINGS AT THE GORE LONDON – STARHOTELS COLLEZIONE

First opened in 1892, The Gore London – StarhotelsCollezione is an icon of British hospitality, home through the decades to a regular clientele including Judy Garland, Andre Simon and Sir Malcolm Sargent, amongst others. The Queen’s Gate townhouse is located a short walk from the capital’s hotspots including Kensington Palace, the Natural History Museum, and Royal Albert Hall.

The hotel’s 50 unique rooms and suites blend period details with antique furnishings.  For grandeur, there is simply nothing else like The Tudor Suite in the whole of London outside the royal residences. Occupying 75 m2, with a mahogany four-poster bed, 15th-century minstrels’ gallery, high oak-beamed ceilings, Portland stone fireplace, candelabras and rich furnishings, this may be the most beautiful hotel bedroom in the capital.

Central to the hotel and part of its notoriety is the iconic wood-panelled Bar 190: best known as the location for the launch of The Rolling Stone’s 1968 album Beggar’s Banquet.  The historical rock n’ roll ambiance remains to this day.  Restaurant 190 Queen’s Gate features seasonal menus created by Michelin-Starred Chef Daniel Galmiche.

The Gore is perfect for small and intimate weddings with a fairy-tale backdrop and is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in both The Library and Tapestry Room.
