New Wedding Venue: The Larimore Missouri joins The Gilchrist Collection

Following the successful launch of venues in Florida and Texas, The Gilchrist Collection is thrilled to welcome The Larimore in St. Louis, Missouri.

A charming venue with a rich history in the heart of the United States, The Larimore is sure to offer couples and their guests a wedding day like no other. Rustic yet elegant, this new venue boasts a classic chapel for those looking for a more traditional feel, and sprawling grounds surrounding a barn and a grand banquet hall for ceremonies.

Built in 1858, this charming venue was previously a farm, followed by a historic B&B, before becoming a wedding venue. The Larimore welcomes couples who are looking for a venue with a story.

Offering a variety of backdrops both indoor and outdoor, couples will be spoiled for choice when choosing the setting for each part of their big day, with a total of two ceremony areas and six acres to decide from.

Following the takeover on September 1, 2023, The Larimore became the third American venue in the Gilchrist Collection, joining Bella Cosa in Florida and Cottonwood Barn in Texas. The Collection also boasts nine venues in the UK, including a castle and manor houses.

Samantha Gilchrist’s dynamic approach and over 15 years of industry experience have been pivotal in driving the company’s success and garnering numerous awards for their exceptional service.

Samantha Gilchrist, CEO and founder of The Gilchrist Collection, commented:

“I am so pleased to be expanding our offering in America. It’s such a diverse country, and all three of our US venues reflect this, catering to every wedding style and taste.”

“The Larimore is the perfect venue for those who want to experience a slice of true American history. We chose this venue to join our Collection because of its unique beauty, from the house to the grounds. It is reminiscent of the architecture in the Judy Garland classic ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’ and full of romance.”

“Whether it is a destination wedding, or the wedding party is from The States, we aim to make sure each special day is everything the couple has dreamed of. We look forward to hearing all of our guests’ plans and delivering the wedding they always wanted.”
